ok, I thought it’ll be a nice idea to compare each other systems:

mine is 43% of the systems scanned by the Game Advisor rank higher in performance than your system.

What is your?

go to http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/games/gameadvisor/default.mspx and click of system scan to see your results.

NOTE: the website Requires the use of IE and the install of an ActiveX, its MS, what do you expect :wallbash: ?

Can’t we just list our parts? I dislike IE, and I harbour a blantant distrust for ActiveX.

Hehe, mine says:

Internet Explorer 6 required
Windows XP Game Advisor requires the use of the Windows 98/ME/2000/XP operating system and the Internet Explorer 6 browser

guess microsoft says 100% of the systems are better than mine, eh? They dont seem to like Fedora Core 4 and Firefox 1.0.6 :)

I go dual boot for things just like this, as well as windows gaming :) Normally running linux though… I actually had to update my windows to run that thing though.

I have a feeling it would’ve said something like “bottom 10%”. My work computer is a P3, probably very little ram, terrible video card, etc… :closedeye

Well, my boss has some money to play around with… I am a grad student and I work as a research assistant in the graphics lab.

Reedbeta, the Pentium D is a EMT-64 processor, thus it has been enhanced to allow access to memory above the 4GB barrier… that said, I mistyped and indeed the system is configured with 4096, not 4196 MB of ram… the extra 100MB would be strange!

Keep your existing system. When AmigaOS 4 is finally released for the A1200 with PPC accelerator it will fly without the need for the MicroA1 or AmigaOne hardware. I’ve had hardware problems with my MicroA1-c since I got it and am hoping for a PowerVixxen LT accelerator for my A1200 when (and if) ACK Software Controls gets around to producing it.
