Hi guys! I’ll be brief.

We’ll be opening a game engine that has more than a decade of work (and several iterations) as MIT license soon.

It’s not an engine made by hobbyists, this is a production tool used to develop and publish plenty of games for PC, Consoles and Mobile. It’s currently in beta stage, meaning it’s feature complete and fully usable, but lacks very little fine tuning and testing. It has a similar feature set to Unity (little less stuff on 3D front, much more stuff on the 2D front, debugging). and runs on all the popular platforms.

Unlike pretty much any other engine with this level of features, the editor runs fine in Linux, as well as Windows and OSX, and supports one click deploy to Android, BB10 and HTML5 (via asm.js)

Here’s some screenshots:

The reason I’m posting this here is that I’d like to get feedback and some help with testing to make sure at the time of release there aren’t any serious issues that prevent it from running. Also as we are not native english speakers, we’d like to make sure that all the API grammar is as free of mistakes as possible (the engine has more than a hundred classes).

So if anyone wants to give it a test and help out with feedback, please contact me!

What did you use as gui ? it looks pretty clean and powerfull, can it be extracted and used as a standalone gui ?

Godot UI is really well integrated to the engine, i don’t think it can be separated, as that integration is what makes it so powerful (the whole Godot editorUI is programmed in Godot UI toolkit using the C++ API).

i hate when somebody makes a post like this and doesn’t respond to the comments or emails….

How long ago did you contact them?

You can see above that the original poster has been very prompt in responding to a couple of initial enquiries – maybe you should exercise a little more patience if it hasn’t been long?

I used the form on their website, after contacting Juan directly from my email he replied the following day. There might be something wrong with their form, however i own an apology.

I sent them an email and got a response less than a day later for the download link. From my understanding okam is going to do a public release of the Godot engine next month. The scripting language is GDscript which is similar to python.
