ChevyRay, the author of FlashPunk, got No.1. That’s pretty cool. It’s nice to see an author of an engine actually using it.

For me, the clear winner is McPixel :) That game simply kicks ass. Other than that, I missed this event, but I’m looking forward to the next one.

The best (maybe only) way to make a useful engine, is to have games drive its development. Anyone who makes an engine in isolation - with the intention of later, when it is done, using it to make a game - is doing it wrong :P

And in addition, ChevyRay usually makes quite good games!

Yeah, I agree. I’ve seen people that couldn’t write a decent game, write engines, but they wrote demo’s and got a lot of input from other people using it to write games.
