Hi DevMaster moderators.

I posted a job advert on behalf of my company a few days ago (“OTEE hiring Nintendo Wii developer”). A day later it seemed to have been deleted. I guess the post must have been in breach of some forum rule, but I haven’t been able to figure out how.

At least I think it would be nice of the moderator who performs the deletion to explain what is wrong in a PM/email. At least if it seems to have been made in good faith (as I hope was clear from the post).

Recruitment / job search posts are no longer allowed on DevMaster, as we’ve decided our focus is more on technical discussions and trading information than on seeking people to work on a project. I apologize for not letting you know in a PM.

What a shame. While I understand the need to get rid of the “anyone want to make an mmo in their spare time?”, real paid positions might be interesting to a lot of the readers.

Anyway, thanks for the information and all the best.

Hm. I would not mind if real job-offers end up in the devmaster-news.

I’d love to do that if the admins don’t mind. What is your take on that Reed (or others)?

I’d be all right with that. Real job offers are not too common here anyways. Maybe the policy against recruitment posts was re-examined, as it was definitely intended to target the “help me make a mmorpg” type posts.
