NVIDIA nForce2 Declared Best Chipset of 2003
SANTA CLARA, CA—DECEMBER 8, 2003—NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the worldwide leader in visual processing solutions, today announced that readers of Tom’s Hardware Guide (www.tomshardware.com), a leading technology Web publication, have recognized NVIDIA nForce™2 media and communication processors (MCPs) as the “best innovation in chipsets” for 2003.
As one of the most influential tech publications on the Internet, Tom’s Hardware Guide delivers hard-hitting reviews and unbiased news to more than 2.5 million visitors a month. The majority of visitors to Tom’s Hardware Guide are tech-savvy PC experts, power buyers and major influencers of technology purchasing decisions—the perfect demographic for evaluating, using and recommending NVIDIA technologies to users on a global basis.
Winning more than 44% of the 20,000 votes cast worldwide, NVIDIA nForce2 technology garnered more votes overall than the next two competitive products combined. In addition, two NVIDIA nForce2-based motherboards—the ASUSTeK A7N8X Deluxe and the DFI LanParty NFII—collected 44.8% of the total votes in the “Best Innovation in Motherboards” category, with the ASUSTeK A7N8X Deluxe ahead of the pack by more than 300%.
