Hello,

I am using opensvn as my svn repository server, but since I have my own server with enough space and bandwidth, I’d like to know if it’s possible to setup svn on it. Anyone knows how?

Thank you

Of course.

Step 1 - Set up a unix box.
Step 2 - Set up apache, webdav (apache module), SVN, Trac on your box.
Step 3 - Check everything out of OpenSVN
Step 4 - Check everything into your SVN.

I believe your versions will get reset to 1. I’ve never heard of OpenSVN but it looks just like what I set up at home and work.

I need to ask my server company to do it for me, or can I do it manually from the FTP?

You can’t install the SVN server over an FTP connection - you’ll need to ssh in and have superuser privs. It’s probably best to ask the server company if they can do this.
