Sun and SGI to Develop Java Bindings to OpenGL

SGI and Sun Microsystems today announced an agreement to develop Java bindings to OpenGL. This will enable millions of Java users to easily use OpenGL for their graphics needs. OpenGL application developers will now be able to write applications in a cross-platform environment - from cell phones to supercomputers. "The power of OpenGL and the wide deployment of Java means graphics developers will now bring together the best of two worlds: Java and graphics."
