Lyon, France – March 6th 2008 – PathEngine announces release 5.15.00 of the PathEngine pathfinding and agent movement SDK. This is another optimisation release, with some important platform specific optimisations and other additional performance improvements. We're also pleased to announce licensing to Ymir Entertainment.
Performance improvements include very significant improvements to loading times, with order of magnitude improvements in some cases, and an average of around 20% reduction in query times on the PC (Windows-x86) platform.

Agressively optimised custom 'Collision Core' data structures and code paths have also been added for the Cell Broadband Engine SPU, with data and code now fitting into the SPU local store for many large meshes for completely asynchronous treatment of key collision operations.
On the content integration side of things a new version of our 3DS Max plugin is now available with support for MaxScript automation.
And elsewhere, we're very pleased to congratulate Flying Lab Software on the release of their swashbuckling MMO 'Pirates of the Burning Sea'. (Well done guys!)

Our SDK is built around an advanced implementation of points-of-visibility pathfinding on three-dimensional ground meshes. The approach taken enables us to provide both pathfinding and collision in tight integration against a single, sophisticated, agent movement model, with agent shape taken into account, with seamless support for overlapping geometry, and with dynamic obstacles directly integrated into the core movement model.
