New Seminar at Game Institute

A new seminar, Creating an Effective Development Organization, has been added to Game Institute's Live Events program, which allows you to attend live online classes teaching focused game development topics for free!

Date: Thursday, 25th October 2007 at 2:00pm EDT
Writing the software is only a small piece of actually getting a computer game to market. This seminar will discuss the key elements of creating a quality software product: creating a vision of the product, design, task decomposition, the engineering process, the role of QA, and documentation. Participants will learn how to set up a development environment, design effective workflow, organize tasks, prioritize bugs, and other important components of building software. The persistent myth that engineers should QA their own code will be taken out and shot.
Intended Audience: Beginner to Intermediate producers and team managers
Running Length: 1 Hour

Commenting will be coming soon. In the meantime, feel free to create a discussion topic on the forums.
