Using a hybrid approach, Grome allows for fast procedural landscape creation using fractal and erosion algorithms and also for complete control by using multiple layers of heightmaps, selections and textures together with a highly customizable brush system. The editor comes in two editions: Professional and Standard. While Standard edition is geared towards indie and small games developers, the Professional Edition is capable of working with the huge data sets required by the most demanding commercial projects.
