Hello everyone!
My name is Jason Jones. I am a musical composer of 13 years. Influenced by the early years of games and music, but with the knowledge of today. I've put a link near the bottom of my portfolio for you to check out.
To me game music has been too heavily watered down. Melodies began lacking when technology got better. I see no reason, and I believe the music speaks for itself, that amazing memorable melodies can't still be written, even with heavily layered compositions. Songs should be able to stand out on there own, while bringing the other elements of a game together. When you hear it, you should be able to get that feeling you had while playing that specific part of a game. Humming a melody in your head when your away from the game, just reinforces the game in your mind. That is what my attempts here are to do.
