Display name historyNovasvita is an overhead-perspective sandbox-styled adventure game that blends elements of exploration and player creativity in a futuristic setting. Creativity is at the heart of the game because players aren't tasked with following a linear quest-based storyline, instead players will be able to do and build what they want while coming up with their own objectives. On a more mechanical level, players will be granted full creative control over how they want to build their world through the various tools and character actions. The goal of the game is to create a virtual environment where players can be the writers of their own adventures.
Scaevitas is searching for a cross-platform programmer/software engineer with at least 3 years of experience in Game Development and Management to lead our team through the development stages of our game over the coarse of 8-10 months.
A large portion of the position is team management, assigning roles to various programmers, making general development-related decisions, building the programming team using knowledge of required positions within the budget, overseeing implementation of graphics, programming, sound, and design, as well as maximizing efficiency when doing so to create a finished product.
*Requirements:
Fluency in Java
Effective Communication Skills
Minimum 2 Years of Experience
Good Verbal Skills
BS-- Computer Science or Software Engineering
Leadership in Project Direction
Ability to create both Mac and Windows versions of the game.
*Pluses:
Released and playable title.
Ability to produce out-of-the-box solutions to problems.
Fluency in other Programming Languages.
Experience in Multiple Fields (Art, Sound, Design...)
