Looking for feedback for my browser game

26 November 2012 - 06:06 PM

Hi all,

I've made a Browser Game with a friend and would love to get some feedback/comments.

Let me introduce our new project. The game we made is called Branes Battle, it’s a Social Strategy Browser Game.

About the story:
The story is inspired by the String Theory which is an active research framework in particle physics that attempts to reconcile quantum mechanics and general relativity. It is a contender for a theory of everything. String theory posits that the elementary particles (i.e., electrons and quarks) within an atom are oscillating lines ("strings"). String theories also require the existence of several extra dimensions to the universe, in addition to the four known spacetime dimensions.

In Branes Battle, a strange dimension has been discovered by a bumbling mad scientist, where tribes of Branes abound, controlling the very material of the dimensions. Take control of your own group of Branes and defeat the other unruly tribes.

To find and destroy your enemies you will be able to utilize the powers of your Branes to control space and time in unimaginable ways. Use these mysterious powers to build your Brane brigade from the ground up. Strengthen your defenses and find new and interesting ways to surprise and overwhelm your opponents. You will need to gather resources to fund your empire's expansion and secure the safety of your troops before entering into conflict.

Bend the rules of physics in Brane's Battle and bring your Branes to the top of the world!

About the design:
Graphically, much of the game is in sharp contrast of black silhouettes with splashes of bright color, which gives the game a striking and memorable look. 2D visuals with the foreground predominantly in black, multi-layered backgrounds give the illusion of depth. The characters are inspired by ‘Susuwatari’ (black soots) in Chihiro's journey. The art style is already used in a lot of other games: Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, Feist, world of goo, Patapon, Outland, Nightsky, etc.

What do you think about Branes Battle ?

Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have a lovely day
