:wtf: Hi, guys! I've been trying to install new Service Pack for my junki XP but when i tried it says: "ATAPI.DLL beeing used by another application. Terminate all active applications and try again!"

The most funny thing about that is, that I shut down every single process from the task manager, even the system ones but it's no use.... file continues to be occupied.

Does anybody have any idea what might be wrong here?

10x

P.S.
Maybe i should put an end to this Windows torture once and for all...Never tried Linux, BSD or Solaris but it think it's time..

first: sp2 is not yet official, so bether just don't. in case you want to try a sp2 beta leak, that is

second: google gave me this:

Quote

>can't install it on mine, say the dll file atapi.dll is in use hmm.gif

> I read somewhere that if you copy atapi.dll to the desktop before you install it will work. I'm not sure how credible that source is though. I'm not really sure where I read that.

> Uninstall Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%.

> ahhh Daemon tools was the culprit, thanks
