Could you scan and see if the title or post has "How to Make a MMO" and a couple other phrases, and if it does put it in a list of others that has to be reviewed by a mod before going on the forums? Good idea?

It would be nice to moderate threads based on certain keywords, but unfortunately, that's not supported right now. At any rate, according to the forum rules, those type of posts aren't allowed, and therefore if we do see such threads, we will manually delete them. AFAIK, that's working fine so far.

As a note, when I see such threads I often respond with a simple "go look at the other threads on this forum" and then close them, rather than simply deleting them without notice. That means the threads will still appear in the new-posts list and so on, which is a little annoying, but it's a bit nicer to the newbies.

since I can't close them just give them a link to my beginner thread, gamasutra, and Game Dev aritcles.
Maybe you could have a pre-typed template somewhere and just post it whenever you see one of those questions. Would save on some carpal tunnel.
