Sound Designer (Contract)

Our client in San Diego, CA is currently seeking a Sound Designer to work in their Audio Post Production Group on a 1 year contract. This group works on both movies and games for Sony, so it is a very cool and unique opportunity.

Responsibilities:
- Perform audio post production duties for marketing and promotional trailers/ movies in our Visual Services /Multimedia Group. (Sound Design, Dialog Editing, Music Editing and Final Mixing).
- Be capable of producing exciting soundtracks that compliment the fast paced energetic videos that are produced by the team.
- Provide support to our in-game sound designers by creating and/or recording sound effects when available.
Surround Mixing experience a plus.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of audio post production experience (working in Commercials/TV/ or Film).
- Minimum 2 years working as a Sound Designer/Mixer.
- Must know Pro Tools software (plug-ins) and hardware, timecode synchronization, and surround mixing techniques. Final Cut Pro knowledge helpful but not required.
- Must be a very strong sound designer able to work within short deadlines.
- Well versed in dialog, sound effect, foley and music editing.
- Must work well under pressure and be capable of generating multiple revisions when necessary.

- The hourly rate is $35-40/hr, (Time+1/2 for OT )
