I am taking a physics class and having a lot of trouble understanding this and being able to do problem solving. Can anyone help me?

How much heat is needed to warm a 50 gram Al cup (c=.22 cal/g C) containing 300 grams of water from 25C to 80C?

How many calories are required to change 40 grams of water at 80C to steam?

I am really trying to understand physics and if someone can help with explaining it, I am not looking for just an answer I really want to understand this. Thanks to anyone who can help!

Tracy,

This is a video game development forum. It is not an appropriate place to ask homework questions, especially those that have nothing to do with video games. You should ask your professor for help if you are having trouble understanding the material.
