Guess they are actually working on it, after all...

I honestly think, that looks quite pathetic for modern standards and 20 years of development...

I've heared Chuck Norris now does the lead programmer job for the project.

He has been seen in the vicinity of the 3D Realms office a couple of times. :-)

As far as I know, it is the same guy who did the voice the last time. I think his name is Jon St. John or something.

That's funny. That "teaser" was made due to developer spare time... Spare time eh? I suppose after 10 years of development, spending a couple days on a video clip that will be superseded by a newer revision of the game next year isn't so bad. Gives the team hope.

Anyone want to take bets that Unreal 4 will be released first? ;)

Well, I lost all hope to see Duke again. They worked ten years to do this teaser, which has about - let me think - 200 frames? maybe more. When will the game be?

Well, i hope it'll be completed in 2008 and it'd not be any think-less, story-less, and much more -less game. I need action, which is freeform, has good story, good idea, NEW IDEAS!!! Well, i don't hope, that Duke will have these (i think it'll be B class game, because there is too long waiting time and No new ideas!) Well, we'll see (i'd like to be surprised).

One of the problems with DNF is that the younger generation doesn't know Duke Nukem or care about it, while at the same time, as Vilem seems to be getting into, the game stands little chance of living up to the hype for those who have actually been eagerly awaiting it for 10 years... Makes you wonder if this game has any chance of success, if they ever manage to release it.

They said they'd release a full trailer soon... Similar to the 2001 (and ugh, 1998) one... I also believe they have said before that they would only start releasing promotional material when they'd be close to a completed game. Whether we can believe them or not this time, however, remains to be seen.

I used to hang out in the 3D Realms forums around 2000-2001... And I can tell you, it's funny... The 3D Realms team started getting really impatient with people posting questions about when the game would be released and such... They'd lock 10 threads a day, and banned quite a few people.

My take is that 3DRealms is running long standing joke about DNF, but I'm skeptic.

In Germany this year again DNF was voted first for the Vaporware award. No surprise there I guess

Quite waste of time for developers to work on the project, though I heard pretty much all original developers who started on DNF have left 3DR.

They have had many people leave and have hired many people during the development. The company is extremely secretive about what exactly is going on, but I suspect the employees weren't happy in the management... Probably rightly so... What kind of manager let's a project like this drag on for over 10 years.
