Hello,

I apologize is this information is covered somewhere else.

My question has to do with server design and how to handle time and the sequencing of events that transpire in the game world.

Are there any articles or sources of information on how to design a server to handle time and event issues?

For example, suppose I have a simulation of someone driving across the country. They leave Monday at 8:00 AM and will arrive Thursday at 5:00 PM.

Obviously game time is sped up by some factor. How do I model time, keep it moving forward at a uniform pace and then handle scheduling of events?
