hi, I've been looking though the open source engines listed here and i just wanted some personal insight on the topic.
from my searching it looks like 'The Nebula Device 2' has the best graphics strait off the bat and then OGRE. i wanted to know if anyone knows of a better looking free engine of how these 2 mentioned are to work with? //like are the comments of TND2 in German?
best open-source engine; visualy

I think you cannot really compare engines graphic quality. A good graphist will make anything looks high-quality.
You can compare their graphic features though : shader architecture, ligthing builtin modules, multi-plateform compatibiliy, ease of (graphic) scripting, etc...
Don't know well 'The Nebula Device 2', but Ogre seems the more featured.
I would add Panda3D on the list.

Ok, thanks, yeah, by graphic quality i do refer to the graphic features of that engine, especially is shadow and light shader abilities, from videos and screen shots TND2 looked the best because it clearly showed that it had speculars (pixel shader 2.0/phong), bloom and self shadowing, for OGRE i havent been able to find anything quite as impressive, are there any OGRE projects you know of that demonstrate its higher abilities?
