Hi,

I was wondering if some of you could take the time and see if the Geist3D graphics engine runs on your platforms. The software has many interesting features including a real time planet rendering engine, rigid body physics and skeletal character animation. If it runs on your system, then you will be able to explore a stunning environment. Screenshots and movies are available at www.geist3d.org.

There are two downloads at www.geist3d.org/download.html. The first one is 3.4MB and only features the planet rendering engine. The second one is 34MB and contains the full Geist3D development environment including Lua script and OpenGL source code editors as well as 8 different models featuring physics, avatars and large terrains.

If you have some time and would like to test drive a new engine, please post a message on the Geist3D forum and let us know how it went. We are especially interested in the cases where the software did not run. Our long term goals are to develop an online game based on the Geist3D engine and we’ll be looking for development partners soon.

Cheers
Jochen
