Hey guys! I need help finding a good book which actually steps you through making a simple directX 3d game, i have all the beginning directX books etc but i want something where i can see all the area's in the book come together for something usefull, not just "this is a particle system, this is blah blah blah" something to build up an entire basic game, i.e. racing or something, anyone know of any books out there that step you through making your own game?
Thnx guys! :D

Programming Role Playing Games with DirectX
takes you all the way to making a small little RPG game. The end game is kinda stupid, but at least it works. And it's a whole 15 minutes of play. Great book though.
