Hello,
we have uploaded a maintenance release for Horde3D which brings some heavy performance improvements. By optimizing shaders and vertex buffer memory layout as well as some higher level modifications we managed to squeeze out 30 to 50 percent higher FPS on modern cards.
The included Chicago sample with 100 animated characters and two shadow-mapped light sources now runs constantly with 60 FPS on a 8600 GTS in 1280x1024 which I'm quite happy with...
