Suddenly I cant use my Ctrl key properly , I cant do "Ctrl+A" , etc...
Can someone please tell me how to solve it and get my "Ctrl" key back to normal?

is it a specific case where it doesn't work or it doesn't work at all anywhere? give us an example as to where it works and doesn't work. it could be your keyboard is broken.

sorry if that doesn't help

My keyborad isnt broke because I can do "Ctrl+C" , but I cant use "Ctrl+a".
I first noticed it when I played CS , my Ctrl key is for duck , and as I pressed it I couldnt move left+right while ducking (while pressing Ctrl key).
So , its not that it doesnt work at all , there are cases which it works and cases which it doesnt work.
I think its the combination between Ctrl and A that doesnt work...is there a way to check it out?

Did you try other combinations? Or is it just with Ctrl?

[geek mode]

have you tried making a test program to see if ctrl + <whatever key> works?

// added this in edit

that and is it just one of the ctrl keys or is it both?

I too am having issues with my ctrl key. It doesn't respond to any commands (ie: ctrl+alt+del, ctrl+Q, etc...) The keyboard is not broken as I took it apart. The problem affects both ctrl buttons. What can I do?

How does you taking it apart somehow imply that it is functioning correctly?

I'm implying that it's not broken. nothing's changed from yesterday to today except that it doesn't work

Well obviously something _has_ changed.

Try using a different keyboard. If this fixes it, buy a new one.

If you have already spent more time on it than it would take to reinstall your OS, then do that now.

Thank you. Keyboard program checks out. If I have a program running I'm not sure which on it would be. I've closed all the visible ones with no effect. However I think you may be right...
I've also run scans with another computer and they haven't turned up anything unusual. I'm really perplexed
