Hello there :)
For quite some time now, the way Visual Studio.Net 2003 handles items in the Solution Explorer is bugging me.
Create a new file - it ends up at the bottom of the parent folder.
Create a new folder - it also ends up at the bottom of the folder list.
Close down Visual C and restart --
All files are sorted within their folders - nice !
All folders - remain unsorted, which is bad.
Especially with some of the larger projects I'm currently working on, finding the folder actually containing a file is quite some tedious task.
Up to now, the only alternative I found was to manually sort the folders within the solution, which isn't great either. There is no "sort" entry in any context menu, and it seems like sorting was entirely forgotten for folders within the treeview.
Anybody out there know of an automated solution to this sorting problem, i.e. a plugin / registry change / whatever ?
I did a google lookup, but came up with nothing. Also, I'm currently downloading the latest service pack (seems one was released at end of '06), but I doubt that will help, either.
Thank you for your time,
Cheers,
- Wernaeh

Some call me mathematician, some just call me computer guy. Yet, I prefer the term professional weirdo :)
