Hello people. This is my first post.

I plan to be a pro level designer after being a tester in the future (Maybe Midway Games). Right now, I'm making a horror game, and I'm planning to be the level designer.

I know the "Engine Database", but I want to hear from current people you know?

So, what's the best world editor? A editor with good tutorial. A editor with good grahpics. I tried downloading the C4 engine demo, but I don't have the recommand graphics card. I want to spend less than $200.

So far, I'm thinking if getting Power Render 6. I've tried the demo for the Landscape Studio. It's good, but I'm trying to find anything cheaper by the end of May.

Does the RealmForge GDK engine have a level editor? I can't tell.

Thanks

Never I've found one.

Only just $30. If I bought Power Render for $150 and just for the world editor, that'll be a waste.

I'm making a island. So that's why I mostly want a terrain editor.

Bryce is as nice as it gets for terrain editors, and the latest version is on sale at 50% off right now (for $50). Have a look:

Vue cost to much. Bryce looks good also. But I'll stick with freeworld since it's $30. I'm just making a island. Freeworld is perfect

So, I'm either gonna get Bryce or Power Render. I'm currently wanting for some answers from the Bryce and the Power Render people. I've tried the demo for Power Render atleast. I liked it.

Hopefully Bryce because it's $50 cheaper than Power Render.

If people know things about one of them, could tell them here for me. :)

I first started using it at my moms computer lab like 8 yrs ago. (she was a computer teacher and artist) I still use it now. It is a major resource hog if you are rendering in a high res. But if you are just using it for the frame work and not the pictures and movies i used it for. Then it is worth 50 bucks. You will find yourself infront of that more then your xbox360 anyday. Nice GUI and good bolean setup. You can mke a kick ass island fast. But it has its drawbacks. I would also use another editor for buildings and things with small detail. But if you want pre made trees and a easy and fast island then use Bryce.

B.T.W. Im not an expert at it i just dabble in it.
