Well, what part do you need help with? Do you already have specifications for the file formats in question?

For example, you can find the X file spec in the following places:
http://www.wotsit.org/download.asp?f=x
http://msdn2.microso...y/bb173014.aspx

There is an article on flipcode about the Quake 2 BSP file format.

All of this information can be found with a Google search.

If you have programming issues then please be specific when asking for help.

donkeyman, you really need to learn to use the period (.) and comma (,). This trick of running your sentences together makes your posts REALLY hard to read.

Also, converting .x into .bsp isn't as simple as you might think, as you will need to compile a BSP tree for the geometry (that is after all the point of the .bsp format).

Yea i have very bad grammer dont i im danish, i new that this wouldent be an easy task i plan to spen 4 month on it at the minimun. COuld it be posible to get the position of all the vertexes out of the x file that would help i think then about the geomatry i have no idea how i would export that. I still need a complier for my code could any one recomend any complier aspecially for game dev, the most inportant part of an engine to me is the support a forum so i can ask questions and so on i have this forum for sure support as i have found but you might not use the same engine.

You are in no position to consider a game engine, especially since you don't seem to have a firm grasp of what one is or what it does for you. First you need a development setup as described in the wiki. Microsoft Word is unacceptable for writing source code for a number of reasons. That link will point you in the right direction. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but you need to do a lot of research and practice before writing your file converter. Please read the link above and feel free to ask questions about the article or for direction on where to go next.
