I don't know where you have 'heard' that, but if you've already got a yahoo email there's no particular reason why you need gmail for 'sending files'. Yahoo gives you a full gigabyte of nowadays, so you needn't worry about filling up your quota with attachments.

I just sent you the invitation. Anyway, instead of being sorry for your spelling errors, how about fixing them in the first place? It's not like your mail was too long for that or anything.

plus, sending files with gmail is more restiricted. They don't allow exe files for one, even archives with exe's inside them. And it's necessary to send EXEs quite often. Yahoo/Hotmail are more lenient with attachments.

Use 7-ZIP to compress your files and you're done.

Gmail is still doing the whole invitation thing? What's wrong with that company. They start betas and don't finish them?

I believe you can also obtain a gmail account if you have a mobile phone with SMS. You can give them your number and they will message you with a signup code.
