First of all, i am from Germany and my english grammatic is not perfect. I hope this doesn´t scare you :) too much, so please take some time and read this.

What is Planetwars?
Planetwars is an Multiplayer Egoshooter mixed with some Realtimestrategygame-Elements. The aim of the player is to collect resources and upgrade his base with buildings for defense or offense strategy´s. It is a very innovative System and i haven´t mentioned all features, but if you are looking for some new expierience in modding, you are definitely welcome on our Team.
How´s the Story? (Short-Version. Longer and better Version is in progress.)
Planet Wars takes place in the year 2040. In that moment world war three has started, the goverments of high technology states such as the US, China, Russia and Germany (of course others, too.) realized that the earth wouldn´t survive the wave of nuclear bombs. So the goverment decided to sent special trained Soldiers to different planets, in the hope, they return to earth again and recover the earth from the war scar´s. The soldiers, which were sent to other planets are fighting against each other to take control of one planet. In the game you are one of those Soldiers.
How the game works.(Small introducing)
Each player starts with his own base, you are able to build your base at any location of the map. To get such things as weapons or defense/offense buildings, you must collect resources on the planet. There are gonna be three type of resource´s. If you have enough resource´s you will be able to upgrade your base to a higher Level, which means better weapons and more power. The aim of each player is to take control over the whole map(planet).
Note: There are much more features and things, which i don´t want to tell right now.
Is the Concept finished?
Yes, the concept is finished. (Note: Some small concept parts can change during our modding)
About me
I am Suzi, the lead developer of Planet Wars, my job is to recruit members for the team, to give the team the highest comfort they can get and to build up a good communication System, which means Teamspeak² Servers, Homepage, Forum, IRC Server, FTP Server and so on. Also i´ve some skills on my own, which include: Http, Source Mapping, Skinning guns and producing Movies. During the proccess i´m gonna learn how to model/code and animate to help the team and to understand those things better. Also im gonna try to find sponsors for such things like Gameserver.
How the maps are gonna look like?
The maps will include wide-open areals and a special texture set/editing. Each map will take part in a Planet, which includes for example Snow/Desert Planets. We are planning to make 8 to 10 different locations or even more, if it´s possible. Every planetmap will be designed with concept Arts to catch the right atmosphere.

Coder/Scripter:
Requirements:
*Very good knowledge of C++
*Experience with coding in the Source Engine
*Being able to work in a team with other Coders
Modeller:
Requirements:
*Very good knowledge of 3DS max (or any other 3D software program)
*Knowledge of making LOD-models(lowpoly-models) is a plus
*Ability to model with conceptpictures is a plus
*Expierience in animating Models is a high plus
*Teamwork
TextureArtist/Skinner:
Requirements:
*Very good skills in Adobe Photoshop (or any other photoshop program)
*Knowledge of making new Textures, that fit in the atmosphere
*Being able to skin a weapon from the beginning to the end.
*A good eye for details is a plus :)
Mapper:
Requirements:
*Very good Knowledge in mapping with the SourceEngine(Hammer)
*Expierience in making outdoor-Levels is a plus
*Being able to work with a team to reach the concept plans
*Languageskills: Good English or even German is a plus
Concept Aritst:

*A passion for Game Arts
*Experience in concept art creation is a plus

oh... that text was pretty much messed up, i have wrote a better one and also added a concept art screenshot of a gun. btw. we already have 2 mapper and 1 concept artist, but myself is a concept artist, too.

As the recource situation on the Earth got more and more critical, the soldiers started to fight each other for the conquest of new planets. It was the age of a new cold war beetween the countries. In the game you are one of those soldiers.

The weapons gonna get a science-Fiction look, but based on weapons which are currently being used by the military. Also some of the buildings will be able to shoot at the enemy to protect your base.

Here are some Screenshots, which one of my Mapper made. We have tested LOD-models on a very big map to see if the source engine can handle such idea. Well, it works. =) The plan of our team is to make maps in the size of Battlefield-Maps (or less smaller) to allow more tactics and strategys on the map, also its more fun.

Well, now i can represent you one of the Aliens, which are gonna be in the Game. Big thx for my Concept Artist. We tried to make the Alien realistic to the Planet, and this is the result:
