Just thought I would give a little more information on the position.
The engine is being written in c++ and utilizes a platform abstraction layer for cross-platform compatibility.
The editor is using C# in combination with the DotNetBar user interface library. Currently the editor is only required to run on windows, but a later move to Mono should be expected.
The tools programmer would be responsible for collaborating with the team to develop a plug-in framework for the editor, along with creating plug-ins for the editor.
The editor aims to provide a full game development environment that utilizes the engine's dll interface. An example of this would be to launch the engine within the editor and be able to debug scripts by settings breakpoints, execute scripts line by line, etc...
