The Dawning
Brief description:
The Dawning is a Space Sim with a
RPG story line and a FPS combat system. You might have noticed that all the
games that are being released currently are all mostly medieval based. Black
Hole Gaming feels that there isnt enough of the Space Sim/RPG/FPS genre and WE
want to bridge that gap.
The Dawning takes place in space
and on planets. The player will start off on their chosen NPC-Inhabited planet
and from there begin their adventures in the universe of The Dawning.
The player controls their chosen
character in a Third person perspective or FPP. As in other games, the player
can also hire NPC characters. But we have planned to implement a different
feature, the feature allowed in mostly single player games of switching between
your characters and your own main character.

Talent needed:
Web Designer
The model applicant will have the talents needed to create a futuristic company and game website similar to
www.supremecommander.com . You also will also be able to create embedded flash in a PHP page.
GUI Artist
To fill this position successfully
you must be able to create a Graphical User Interface that pleases the eye and
also is based on The Dawning's Space/Futuristic theme.
3D Interior Artist
To fill this position successfully
you must be able to create interiors within spaceships that other 3D Artists create.
Conceptual Artist
To fill this position successfully
you must be able to create perspective, side, front and top views of spaceships,
terrestrial buildings, characters and other forms of organic and non-organic
objects.
3D Artists
Experienced 3D Modeler with at least 6 months experience with a high-end modeling tool (3DS Max, Maya, Blender). Knows of mapping/rigging/UVWrapping/Texturing. (3DS Max is preferable but not required)
C++ programmer
Experienced Windows C++ programmer with at least one year experience. 2D/3D graphics programming (SDL, OpenGL, DirectX, custom engine) is not required, but preferable. Prefered IDE: Microsoft C++ 2005
