Just a general question:
How many of you have started your own gaming companies?
How hard was it?
What did you have to do?
Any resources out there to help others?
How many of you started your game companies?

1) Underpants 2) ??? 3) Profit!
But seriously your questions are too vague. You might as well of asked, "How do you start a business?". It depends on your aims, if you set your goals higher its going to be harder work!
Think of some more specifics.

I did and I will say that it involves a lot more work than you would think. My particular business is a corporation so there were certain things that we needed to do to make the state happy, talking to a lawyer is invaluable.

It will very much depend on where you live. Here in Canada I registered my company online for $60. Wasn't too hard at all.
