Hello,
I am a film student at a university in California and I have spent the last 6 years developing a story that I want to make into both a film and a game. I am very talented in the art of story telling, modeling, textureing, and cinimatography. I have spent the last 4 years working with the Quake engines, I added Q4 graphics and SP gameplay to the Q3 engine...But I Had the help of a friend who is a great programmer.
I am now using an engine that is NOT opensource and made by a german coder. The engine has no SP support. It does have basic game play items tho
The engine has:
Render (different...a mix of ogre-like render with Doom 3 features)
Physics
Shader/Material system (like Doom3)
Gui system (scripted and useable in game like doom3)
basic entity system
tools (own map ect. like hammer)
model support (mdl, md5, 3ds ect.)
Skeletal animation
Large Terrein
Lua
Ok It has everything needed in a game except SP stuff!!!
What it would need.
Basic SP game code...including the following
Monster support and basic AI.
Ok let me elaborate....I realy only need it implemented because once it is
I can copy and paste to expand it. So the implementation of One monster
(a soldier) and an external script that defines the AI. An event and
trigger system (like doom 3 or similer). The gui system needs to be
expanded to work like doom 3's in game. Basic stuff...doors, Triggerable
lights, Vehicles (to use the standard already implemented physics) A
cutscene system (like JKO or Doom3 but not very advanced) AND
Most important...NPC's that can be used in cut scenes or as allys...
Ok SO I compaire my needs to a AAA game but it doesent need to be this good! I have examples of exactly what I need and I have code that I used in my Q3 engine (SP) and it all can be used! SO If some one could just convert my old C code into C++ and implement it into a new engine or just write it up from scratch...All of the advanced stuff is done!!!!
Help Adding SP code
