[Roots]

My team released some new screenshots along with a re-designed website recently, and I wanted to share them and see what people think. Hero of Allacrost is a 2D role-playing game that is a mix of old-school RPG elements (SNES) with some modern graphics, music, and other features. The game is open-source and free to play, but we haven't released a playable version of the game yet. We're very close to having a demo, but we have some bugs to address in the code and some loose ends to tie up in artwork, music, and sound. Anyway enough blabbing, here are the goods. :happy:













Our website has more eye (and ear) candy, so if you're interested check it out and let us know what you think about it. Any comments/critique on the screenshots, website, game, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks! :yes:

Haven't tried the game, but the screenshots are very nice. The art looks pretty awesome!

Since I can't reply to the post in the recruitment requests forum I'll post here that the music link you had in the recruitment request seems to be broken (or Firefox just doesn't like it for some reason). I tried it from the link in the Multimedia section of the Allacrost website in your signature and it doesn't work either. BTW I have WinAmp installed so I should be able to play the .ogg file.

Thanks for catching that. I uploaded a slightly updated version of this track earlier today and it accidentally disabled group and other readable permissions. Its fixed now, so you should be able to give it a listen. :)
