Team name:
Moonstruck Games

Project name:
Project "Survival"

Description:
Project "Survival" is a FPS/RPG/RTS set in a fantasy world. While variations of this blend have been created before, we believe our deeper focus on each of the aspects, rather than simply a glimpse of each, will open the doors to a much broader audience. Project "Survival" (working title) provides just enough of each genre to really give the player a good grasp of how these 3 popular styles can be used in team based play, while keeping the roots of each genre intact. In Project "Survival", the goal is to destroy the enemy town to become the dominant race. This may appear to be an easy process - it isn't. There are three playable races in this game, Humans, Reptilians and Gravelers. Each race has 7 unique classes, siege weaponry and flying units.

In order to get weapons, items, upgrades and the classes themselves, players must travel on epic quests. In each town, inhabitants will provide you with information on quests that need to be accomplished, and what you receive upon completion. Every map will have a unique set of quests to complete, making each and every match a new experience. Depending on the quest, players can partner up with other real time players to embark across the map looking for success. Some of these quests will benefit the entire team, opening up unseen technology or abilities, whereas some will only provide the reward to those daring enough to undertake the quests. Those who received the reward will be able to wield it and use it in the gruesome battle for victory. One of the keys to victory is determining which quests are vital and discovering the strategies needed to succeed at them. Players will be allowed to prevent the enemy from completing quests by setting traps, establishing settlements and designating players on lookout duty. In addition to these aspects, there will be many other features to flesh out the role playing game experience.

Those who prefer getting into the fray and playing as a fighter will experience epic encounters and participate in memorable battles. Using the rewards gained by the completed quests, players will march with fellow allies looking to advance towards the enemy town. It is quite possible that these fighters will meet up with their allies doing quests, and will be given the opportunity to defend them or go about their own business. Unlike many games based around first person fighting on the market, each player will be unique. Each and every class has a distinct advantage and disadvantage, and every skill makes them different from every other class. With seven classes for each race and huge specialization options for every class, this provides endless play styles for anything the player enjoys doing. In addition to this, every player will have a unique set of equipment. While some players will simply purchase weaponry and armor from the town, there is much to be gained from quests that cannot be found elsewhere. All of these aspects will provide a very unique game play style, even if fighting in the front lines is all the player truly wants to do.

The ability to create and mold your own world is something very important to a lot of gamers. The simple idea of manipulating the world and changing the course of the game is really fun and fulfilling to any RTS fan. In Project "Survival", players will be able to use the builder/engineer class as a means of doing so. Providing that the appropriate quests are completed to use this character, players can construct walls/trenches, build siege units based on blueprints, drive the siege units they created and create tons of other valuable structures. Alongside the builder class, there are other strategy aspects that can be enjoyed without as much specialization. A player can contribute some of his gold towards the team, hiring NPC allies to help in the battle. These NPCs include characters such as engineers, who help to repair damaged buildings and construct new ones, guards and archers, who help to defend the town, bodyguards, who defend the player who hired them (Ideal for protection during quests), and soldiers, who can join the players on the battle front, helping to ensure victory. These NPCs will be useful throughout the entire game, as they will improve as you do, gaining experience and growing stronger as the players purchase upgrades for them. Although there is no commander in Project "Survival", strong RTS aspects will be available for those who love a more strategy based environment. With the combination of all these genres, Project "Survival" will provide a lasting experience that will prove that the game deserves the title of a classic.
