Can someone give me a quick explanation of the major differences? I'm confused on how they're different.

Thanks,

It seems to me that Chunked LOD essentially begins with geomipmapping as a base and improves it by filling in the details that the geomipmapping paper leaves to the imagination, like how the error metric is computed and how vertex morphing to fit together different resolution levels is accomplished. The Chunked LOD paper cites the geomipmapping paper as a reference, indicating that it is a more advanced technique. You can read all about these and others in the papers on this page.
