(I know there are similar threads like this out there, I just wanted to say my piece)
I don't watch a lot of TV and when I do I certainly do not pay much attention to commercials. Recently I saw a commercial where Apple advertises the introduction of Intel processors for their computers.
Now, I have read many of the "mactel" threads at various sites and this announcement certainly isn't a suprise. What is suprising, however, is how they presented it. In particular when they mention how Intel chips were "trapped in dull little boxes doing dull little tasks". I think this is insulting, not only to me, but to Intel as well.
I find it dreadfully shameful that Apple would insult PC users in such a manner and probably more shameful that they also insult Intel in such a fashion, mainly because PC's are the platform that built the Intel. Basically they called all PC's and PC users "dull".
I say all PC users should flood Apple with emails chastising them for such hateful and insulting commercials and to Intel as well for letting Apple use such statements in the advertising of their technology.
Shame on you Apple for insulting millions of PC users across the country. Shame on you for insulting the company that supplies the technology for your new computers. And shame on you Intel, for letting Apple do it. Last but not least shame on you Steve Jobs, for pretending to be Bill Gates.
PC users shout out!
P.S. Thank you Apple, for making me secure in the descision to never buy any product of yours ever.
Shame on Apple and Intel (Rant)

Ahww, shut up... Computer tech fanatism isn't helping anyone. The ad seems more pathetic than provocative to me.

I didn’t see the ad, but either way it makes no difference. People don’t care about the hardware, they care about the software. It’s always been about Windows vs. MacOS, even more so now that both operating systems are using the same hardware platform.
In the end? Nobody cares. "Twas a good laugh" said the man.
