Hello all! I'm a new member of devmaster! I can't believe i didn't know this site existed! Alittle about me is I'm fairly new to game programming. It has my dream and passion since the days of mario world! Following my passion has made me reach as far as starting my own site based on a group of nOObs trying to learn every aspect of game development together! I think that's a great idea! I welcome anyone to check out NewbiesNetwork , both Newbies and Pros alike. I'm glad I found this site too because I know it'll help on our long journey towards game development.
New member with a plan!

I'm glad to hear that you are enthusiastic and I hate to rain on your parade, but why create ANOTHER site dedicated to game development? You are just going to create greater fragmentation of the global collection of articles. Why not submit some articles here? Or volunteer a little programming and web design skill to improving the DevMaster resources? It would probably be better for the community as a whole!

Well I understand where you're coming from, but the goal of my site differs from both this site and gamedev.net. My site is dedicated total "newbies" coming together to work on projects while learning from and with each other. Much like a group to keep us occupied instead of searching forums mindlessly looking for answers. It's more centralized. I've been a member of gamedev.net since 2001 and I never learned as much as I did on my little site. You really should check it out so you'll understand what it's about. Think of it as a place where newbies can call home. It won't spread the community because we'll still be coming to the bigger site like this for answers. I know I may sound alittle hasty but trust me I'm not the kid n00b with a wish. I've been at trying to learn this for years with not much luck.
