Hello there, fellow developers.

My team's project, Stealth Assault is in need of pixel artist. It's a 2d platformer, in the vein of metroid, meaning it'll be rather large and have alot of exploration. Other than that, it's pretty much a stealth game.

Our current team is:
Dark Walk--lead programmer
Toopz--Artist

As you can see, we're lacking in members. We can probably get by with Dark Walk as our only programmer. He's quite exceptional, and because we're using gamemaker, we have a fast workflow without much backend work. Before you say "Gamemaker!? Blaspheme!!" Just take a look at some of his examples, and projects (particularly his most recent, Dark HDR Lighting, though not really HDR) for GM6.1:

Up next are the artists. Right now I'm the sole guy in this aspect. Normally this would be fine, but I'm try to use larger, more detailed sprites and graphics then usual. Thus, if I want to manage to have everything done in reasonable time, I'll need help. Here's a sprite of the main character:

By the way, that character sprite is segmented on the sprite sheet, meaning it isn't as hard to animate as it appears there.

If you're an artist and think you can help out in any way possible, please let me know.

Lastly, music and sound artists. We don't have anyone in these categories yet, but we definitely need them. We've already started work on our project, as sound isn't required like graphics or programming, but we understand a game loses so much without it. Thus, if you think you could lend a hand here, let us know.

Speaking of the project, perhaps I should give some details on it. It's going to be a 2d platformer, with exploration as key focus, much like Metroid and Castlevania (post SOTN). It's gameplay, however, will be tailored to a stealth perspective, featuring line of sight, hiding in shadows (using Dark Walk's own excellent 2d lighting engine) and other standard, plus non-standard stealth actions. If anyone has anymore questions about the game, feel free to ask. :)

Once again, please get in contact with us if you think you can be of any help. I know if I don't get any additional artists I'll probably end up doing this most of the time: :wallbash:

Thanks,

Toopz

Hate to say this, but it may have been a bad idea to come to filled with programmers asking for artists and sound guys.

Yeah I know. But, I've posted at several forums. This wasn't my only one you know.

It may not have been a stroke of genious to post here, but I'm not an entire idiot.
