Hi guys,

I have some trouble in texturing object. I use a 3ds importer and I have no problems with box or similar object. When I texturing a sphere or a cylinder (et similar) in some point texturing it's very strange.

I have tried to open 3ds file with 3D Studio Max and I note that the problem is also present in 3D Studio Rendering !!!

Why ?

I use Cinema 4D to create object and when I export in 3DS format, Cinema 4D have a strange mode to generate texcoords. Using 3D Studio Max as native program, I have no problem.

what problems actually?

because if you map around on a sphere, or cylinder, you get at one point bad mapping. this is wellknown. and solvable.
