Hello All,

I am a recruiting representative of Ascendi Solutions, Inc. and am currently representing several “Video Game Industry” clients for both PC and console gaming systems.

I would like to inform you of a “Technical Artist” opportunity that we are currently interviewing for:


Technical Artist

Responsible for creating character rigs and taking finished art assets to integrating them into the game world.

Responsibilities:
Create and maintain rigs for animated characters and objects; Maintain directory structure and naming conventions for art files; Solve ongoing technical problems with Senior Technical Artist; Search for higher quality and faster ways to create art assets; Provide artists with scripts that ad them in asset production; Keep current with rules and restrictions of game engine; Review all assets during integration for potential errors, addressing those found and teaching artists correct construction methods.

Requirements:
Skilled user of Alias Maya; Able to rig characters in Maya; Experience with modeling, texturing, animation, and scripting; Exceptional problem solving skills/ organization skills (tendencies for perfection a plus); Demonstrated aptitude for learning new systems quickly.

Pluses:
MEL scripting; Applicable game experience with processing game assets through an art pipeline into an existing game engine; Mod community experience; Experience working with and/ or playing MMP games.

FYI:
Candidates will be required to complete a tech test; Application must be accompanied by a demo reel.
