Hi,

I've been working on a lump of cross-platform engine stuff for a while, and would really appreciate if a few of you could try it on your Windows/*nix setup and tell me if it worked or not. Attaching a copy of the log.txt from the same directory as the program would be nice if the thing doesn't launch.

Screenshot (what you're aiming for): http://www.edmack.co...grassy-roam.png
Textures and heightmaps may vary :excl:

Windows users => Souris.exe
*nix users => game-launch

Anyway, it'd be great for me to get an idea of what barriers there are to distribution.

It lacks collision detection, skydome and an octree, amongst much else - It's got a long way before being pretty

Thanks :)

Fails to run here under WinXP. Doesn't throw up any error messages or anything, simply opens a console window then closes it again immediately with no other results.

Doesn't seem to want to run on my WinXP machine, throws up some kind of dll error what I have never seen before!

Error Picture

I have no suggestion as to the solution to that one.

Again, just opens a DOS window and exits, for me.

This is really bizarre. I might of expected other DLL issues, but the above errors are quite obscure. I built it in DevC++, could that have something to do with it in any way?

I'm really at a loss here - I downloaded the same binary from Gmail and it worked, but the version in the zip (same file) did not. ?!

I have the same issue as reedbeta. It just opens a console window then exits *there's something written but it exits too fast) - so I ran it from the command prompt and the error reads : "cannot run program in DOS mode"

I shall rebuild the thing in XP and upload a new build. Thank you for your continuing patience with this train-wreak of a test :)
