Team Name: RP Dreamer

Game Name: Shrouded Past

This team was started on July 2, 2005 by me. After gathering a fair amount of staff members a few days later we planned out our first MMORPG known as Shrouded Past.

Another World War had taken place which raged on for 7 years, leaving stains and trails of blood over the once green hills. The war was fought not only between the countries, but also the animals that had evolved over time into the monsters we see now. Finally over, thousands of people had died and those who had survived, had nightmares haunting them each grueling moment of the night. The aftermath of the battle was devastating. Not a single city or village was spared and all were torn down and burned. The citizens had to start again from scratch and settled down into vast areas of land across the world constructing small houses for their family and for other surviving men to live on. Over the century, each nation had signed a treaty stating that they will fight, help, and honor each other’s countries. That they will never fight against each other for any reason. Trade and fishing routes became more populated between the nations. Villages began to spread out more rapidly then ever.

As time drew on, the peace did not. The creatures that had not been seen for the passed year had finally come out of their hideouts for a final attack to take over. They slowly attacked each village one at a time with over thousands of them going at once. Some of them attacked nearby towns, burning them down in a blaze of flames. Kings supported their country with the best weapons they could afford meanwhile setting up posts to guard their kingdoms. Through all the efforts, none had survived.

Myths and Legends becoming reality... These stories were just thought of as stories and nothing more. Yet when the time comes for it to all become true, we will face the flames of hell while still struggling for our lives.

You were born unto a cruel and fateful world. The only thing that you can trust is the rusting sword in your hand. As it shimmers in the moonlight you cannot sleep nor eat without getting killed. Your armor stained with blood, and the pride you have for your country are the only things keeping you moving forward. There is an adventure that needs to be discovered. When myth becomes reality no one will be forgiven. Your destiny awaits you…

Classes go as followed:

You begin the game as a Novice and by Level 5 are able to go into one of the towns to select your 1st job.

At level 30 you will be able to once again choose another job to expand on your skills.

4) Dark Sorcerer, Priest, or Elementalist

5) Hunter or Sniper

There are plenty of other features implemented into the game but they will be kept secret for now. But just for a heads up we are now passed the planning stage of the game and are ready to start now.

The only thing is that 2 of our programmers have left the team for unknown reasons and we're down to 3 again. We'll be needing a few more advanced C++ programmers, good sprite designers for NPC's, Items, Monsters, and Equips. We also need a few people to do sound effects for us and desperately need 3D environment designers. Please consider joining the team

one other thing... we need about 3-5 people to work on names for NPC's, items, and equipment including:

- Head
- Armor
- Gloves
- Shoes
- Belt
- Weapons
- Shields
- Pants
- Shoes
- Fist Attachments (martial artists weapons)
- Leg Attachments (martial artists weapons)

These are split into categories and levels. There are 5 main classes of Warrior, Thief, Martial Artist, Wizard, and Archer. This is a fairly easy job where all you have to do is think up names. We are busy with other parts of the game so this would really help out. More details will be given to you when you join the team.

Staff Needed:
- Advanced C++ Programmers
- 3D Landscapers
- 2D Sprite Designers
- Sound Effect Makers

The game will be programmed with C++. In terms of graphics, the game will feature a fully 3D landscape with 2D characters. To find out more about the features we plan to put into the game, we constantly update on our forums so check back there once in a while

This is a non-paying job unless there money donated (or cash items are bought). The money gained by this will go to support the game, but the rest will be split evenly amongst all staff members.

This project has been at work for a good month with planning but we've gotten started.

Currently what we need most are C++ Programmers (3 at the moment) and 3D Terrain Designers (0...). Thank you! :D

this is a long thread, and it is not necessary to post everything you have done in design heer, just a general idea of what your project will be.

This said, however, it looks to be a nice project and I look forward to hearing more of it in the future.

It also would have been nice for this to be prominantly displayed as an MMORPG, only after going to your site dif I figure that out.

(By the way: I do tae-kwon do, and I can honestly say we use the arms as much as the feet. PM me if you want info on Tae Kwon Do moves).

haha i'm korean and i've taken tae kwon do for over 4 years xP

right i forgot to mention about the MMORPG part of it lol... thanks though, i'll edit my post around a bit... :D
