 I need like a co-designer or a few because this is my first and i am totally lost, I have an idea for an MMORPG the name is "Lost Cities" or the name can be just about anything thats just like the thing that popped in my head, and it takes place in a different deminsion. And i just want to give complete freedom to the users to do whatever they want. I would like it to be a free MMORPG though and im looking for someone to do it with me free, I need help really bad!

So anyone with a heart kind enough to help... e-mail me at SS5ASH@AOL.com Thank You.

Oh oh oh - can I be on the Lighting team?

Seriously - pick up a book on programming games, code a few small ones, then come back.

If you were brand new to architecture would you try to build notre dame?

Sorry to continue with a metaphor...
But someone who is new to architecture may create something extremely unconventional and original, simply because they do not know the "standards" of architecture.

Also, it is worthy to note that architects do not actually build the games they design, instead emplying others to build them for them. Personally I would not build a building for free for someone who is new at architecture, being promised to be payed AFTER I had built the building.

Not sure where this is leading so I will leave it now...

And then that building cripples half way through because it was never load-balanaced.

Face it, all parts of game-making require skill.

Honestly, I dont think this is a serious meant thread. I mean - The name... the date he joined... the way he describes his game... exactly the definition of a nono-thread ; )
I think much more our MMORPGnewbie wanted to make some fun of just these newbs.
Sorry if this was a little bit destructive, ignore it if I´m totally wrong ; )

Okay, I don't know if you read the link I posted, but here's the jist (so you hear it nicely):

An MMORPG is not something you can make, will make, or should attempt to make. It requires a lot of skill, and often more money.

People will not make a game for you, while you just direct the ship - many more experienced people can lead projects better (since they've done it many times).
