Project name:
Desert Fox

Brief description:
Desert Fox is classical 3D Real-Time Strategy game based on World War II theme. Our goal is to make this game as better as we can with no budget. Game will feature Campaign missions. We may consider doing multiplayer mode later.

Target aim:
Freeware, Open-Source

Compensation:
As you can see, this project is Freeware, so no compensation for your work. What you will get is the experience and a credit in the game.

Technology:
Our game is based on Irrlicht engine. Irrlicht engine is written in C++ but also supports .NET languages (C#, VB). Except Irrlich, we are going to write our own Game Engine and Framework.

Talent needed:
We are looking for following people:
- Programmer (with good C++ knowgledge)
- Modeller (good with low poly modelling)
- Historian

Team structure:
Our current team consists of:
- 2 Programmers
- 2 Modellers
- 2D Artist
- Historican
- Web Designer

I cannot help but notice that you have no designers on this team. Design is a HUGE part of RTS games, and balancing teams is always an issue (to date only StarCraft has done this porperly). I suggest you post on various forums looking for designers as it will help you greatly.

This said however, the graphics of it look promising and Irricit is more than powerful enough for an RTS. Best of luck in all of your development.

Is that the standard Irrlicht terrain node? The textures look good and the terrain looks smooth. Much better looking than the terrain demo.

I am the only Designer on the project right now... And you're right, designers are really important!

The terrain you can see on those 3 screenshots are from our own Map Editor. It will be used to create terrains and texture them.

Positions are still open!
