Valium Deathmatch is a multiplayer Deathmatch game with retro-styled ASCII graphics made by me (the game, not the graphics)
It features support for up to 4 player at the same PC, a (crappy) bot, Two Game Modes: Deathmatch and Capture The Flag, randomly generated maps, 4 different powerups aswell as a (pretty big) variety of options and the abilty to save them.

It wasn't set out to be groundbreaking, but to be a nice, little entertaining, customizable multiplayer retro-style mayhem game. :D

I just want to know what you think of it. It's near completion and the current beta version (0.96) features almost everything from the coming final version.

Download it here

Hey, nice little game! I expected something first person but this is quite cool too!!! Say, how long does it took you to develop that game?

There could be one... Maybe I'll make the source public so you can compile it under Linux (at least).

Yes, that's good idea! To open source it would be really really great!

Yes it would but I'm not going to put the source to public domain before the final version (which is soon to come) since it's very messed up by now

BTW it was written YaBasic, a nice BASIC compiler/interpreter similar to ye goode olde QBASIC.
If youre interested download it here
