Hi all!
I'm new to this forum.
I want to know which OpenSource Engine fits my needs:
My game is a Strategy Turn-Based Shooting Game. It is a 2D game which contains 3D effects like lighting and such things.
The game is like GunBound: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/gunbou...creenindex.html
What are the suggestions?
Regards
Which engine to use for this game?

I'm not sure about this, maybe Genesis3D or Jet3D?
However, I have to say 2D isn't really my speciality and the engine database one this site is for 3D engines, you would probably have to write the destructable terrain algorithm yourself.
Sorry I coulnd't be of more help.

I don't think there's a predefined engine that really fits these needs that I can think of. I would pick up ClanLib, and use that to write an engine and then your game.

I think instead of the game being 2d you should make it a 3D game. I havent seen any 3d stradegy turn-based shooters mabey just because I haven't looked:happy: but thats just my thought. I think it would be pretty cool if it was a 3d game.
