Hey guys. I'm almost done with my Atomic Ball game! But I want to include some music with the game for a background soundtrack. Here's a demo that you can play with and listen to the included in-game music for reference:
Atomic Ball Beta 10
This zip file has a readme in it that instructs how to install the enclosed installer file (AtomicBallBeta_10.exe). It's a Windows-only game, so don't download it unless you have a Windows system to install it on!
I've included a few soundtracks in this demo, but I don't know where they came from (a friend found them for me) so I don't know who to give credit for them. I don't even know if they're commercial or independly created, or if they're royalty-free or copyrighted! Anyhoo, you sorta see what I'm up against; if I release my game and someone comes back on me saying "That's MY music, and I DIDN'T give you permission to use it!", I won't know what to do.
So I need your help... I'm looking for some royalty-free music for my game. Listen to the music I've included with my game, and that's the style of music I want: Mellow, rhythmic and somewhat exciting. Not too upbeat and fast, no metal, and not too slow. Or, you can download DXBall-2 and that's also similar to the music style I want. This game is going to be free (although donations will not be refused :) ), so the composer probably won't see any money for the music. However, if my game really takes off and becomes popular, then the composer will get a lot of free publicity! :D And he'll definitely get credit for his music in the game's readme file.
Can anyone help me with my musical dilemma? Thanks!
Need help getting music for my game...
