I just reliezed that there are no forum rooms for artistic aspects of gaming! Don't you think that it would be a great way to increase the community here? Things like Modeling, animating, texturing, music/sound, 2d animation, GUI's, scene direction, or whatever!

Not to mention it could add onto the available referances with book reveiws, leasons on shading, perspective, anatomy, and such.

I understand that there is already one metric butt-ton of pages as such out there, but how many specificlly for the purpose of game development?

So, wadda you say, go or no go?

The question I would ask to this is how much traffic would the forum get? if it only gets a post once a month then it's not really worth opening a seperate forum IMHO. I've rarely seen any artistic posts. That's basically because this community is programmers mainly.

just my opinion.

Yeah, this site _is_ devmaster. I think expanding the focus will only dilute the site.

Yeah, I believe it's better to keep focused right now. If we get enough posts related to art, then we might consider opening a new forum for it.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Alright, I guess that all makes sense. I just figured that it would be a good way to get programmers and artist to know eachother as apose to "Let's make a game! Um... know any artist?"

well I better get on thoughs art related post :D
