Online 360' shooter

Ok My name is Static and I am new to these forums.
I have been using gamemaker for about a year now, I'm very good at leading projects and creating games, I am planning to step up to C++ very soon however I have a game idea that was gonna be the gamemaker game to end them all. It was called master exploder DTA and online platform style shooter with detailed gfx and running of a server type deal where you can host a game and join games over a active online community. We began makeing meny movment, gun and physics and online enganes in gamemaker but I feel we sould take a step up and create this game off a system that is not as limited as gamemaker.
DTA is very close to a game called Soldat. It is 2d and you aim with your mouse and run around in a 2d platform world. We are createing levels non tiile based and rather just one huge image with collision checking so the levels are very unique and non tile based. Are gfx artist is very very good and we already have all the characters and all there sprite sheets done already so if you would like to take this job on you will have meny resources ready for programming ( 1 complete level all weapons and there reload animations and efx, you will have all characters and the heads up display) we have lots of things planned and needing to be done so its not like you will be programming in the dark or anything.
The game is online and will have a system like blizzard uses for there battle net game like starcraft or warcraft.
You must be able to make online scripts and have klnowledge on how to, we alos need someone who can program platform engines well, we also need some one good with weapons a bullets and such
We already have
Weapons Expert ( and a chart to show how the weapons are saposed to be made)

btw, i'm pretty sure that soldat was realized in 3d... i might be wrong though

Ya i have been trying to acomplish online smooth wokring engines for this game with Gmsockets.... it just runs to slow..... I really hope i can get this project going cause my gfx guy is starting to get pissed , do you know anyone that could help?

I've i could play the game i'll choose to be a Nazy since i'm almost skinshaved myself yesterday :) Yeah, yeah i don't have Doc Martins, Bomber and a funny look on the face but who cares?

need a C++ coder and I think we are gonna make the game in direct3d .... unless u have any suggestions..... I heard open gl can do lots of things but does it do 2d?
As for teh game it will not be a soldat clone . for one the menu presentation will be cool not some slow buggy crap like soldat. The gfx will be much better i can promise and all the characters vary plus special abilities.... One of my jobs was designing levels and I take my time and have meny diferent design on paper and only like 3 I like. :sleep:
